Carrick Rangers Mini Soccer Youth Academy

The aim of the Development Centre is to provide pathways for individuals to achieve their own personal goals, in an environment of respect for all involved. The programme aims to provide specialised training to children while educating them in fair play and personal development. We use football as the vehicle to achieve numerous benefits, however to achieve the benefits the coach, the player and the parents must work together.

Through our programmes in the development centre we use small sided games to involve as many 5-17 year olds as possible regardless of ability, gender or cultural background. The programmes are delivered to develop cross-community relations while promoting fair play and most importantly all involved  enjoying themselves. We provide a series of fun fast paced football related games and activities designed to introduce the game to young children. We realise the importance of developing the child as a whole and the activities are designed to develop effective growth for each individual in terms of self esteem, confidence, enthusiasm, dedication, team work and leadership.

Mini Soccer Youth Academy. The Academy runs each Saturday morning from 10am to 11.15am for 5-8 year olds and 10am to 11.30am for 9-11 year olds. At present more than 100 children attend each week.

The aim of the programme is to develop the child as a whole, this involves using football as the vehicle to build confidence, self esteem, discipline and team work in a fun environment.

We provide achievable goals and setting standards on and off the the field. The small sided games encourages higher concentration levels and more involvement. This in turn leads to better decision making which will help gain a better understanding of the game.

The main focus is to ensure children learn in a fun pressure free environment.
